San Francisco Public Library Versus Local Homesteaders
I visited the San Francisco Public Library this morning like I do often and quite frankly I got confused today. I thought I was in the Tenderloin or International Square for a moment. Has the library turned into a hostel and/or rest area for the homeless? I am tired of people taking sponge baths in the bathroom, unpacking all their belongings onto the reading table and just plane hanging around the front doors and lobby area. I am just a sensitive as the next person most likely but isn’t their something we can do differently? I don’t mean ship the destitute off to a refugee camp and make them someone else's problem. I haven’t seen one homeless person that couldn’t do some work and a least cleanup. What about our mothball fleet of ship in Suisun Bay, can we make a floating Hostel to give them a place to stay, shower, and sleep. I guess we’d have to anchor the floating Hostel; maybe off the coast of California somewhere. This idea feels like deja vu.
